At Every Voice Matters Foundation, we believe food is a basic human need and that communities are strongest when neighbors care for one another.
Our Food Security initiatives are rooted in mutual aid—the idea that everyone has something to give and everyone may need help at some point in their lives. We create opportunities for neighbors, local businesses, farms, schools, and community organizations to share resources, reduce food waste, and ensure everyone has access to healthy, nutritious food with dignity.
Through community-powered solutions, we are building a network where giving and receiving are acts of shared responsibility rather than charity.
What Mutual Aid Means
Mutual aid is built on trust, reciprocity, and community. It recognizes that each person brings value, whether by donating food, volunteering time, sharing skills, growing produce, or simply checking in on a neighbor.

Accessible refrigerators where anyone can take what they need and leave what they can, ensuring food is available without barriers or stigma.
Food Rescue
Partnering with farms, grocery stores, restaurants, and local businesses to rescue wholesome surplus food and redistribute it throughout the community.

Growing fresh produce together while creating spaces for learning, connection, and shared stewardship.
Fresh Food Distribution
Providing healthy fruits, vegetables, dairy, and pantry staples through neighborhood events and trusted community partners.
